History
The tower of the former castle dates from the 13th-14th centuries, while the main building dates from the 16th-18th centuries. The castle underwent a siege in the 17th century following which it was burned and pillaged. Rebuilt in the 18th and transformed in the 19th, the castle has since presented the image of a main building set back from the terraces of the former castle-fort, leaning on the chevet of the church and the former fortified postern. The building was rebuilt from old masonry (medieval towers, entrance door with rustication, windows with brick framing).
