Les premiers seigneurs de Blanville apparaissent à la fin du 16e siècle. Le château, bâti en 1643 pour Du Cluzel, intendant de Touraine, est constitué d'un corps de bâtiment principal, flanqué de deux courtes ailes. Les communs qui prolongent le château de part et d'autre, se retournent, limitant une grande cour rectangulaire. Les douves, qui recoupent ce grand rectangle, sont accusées aux angles opposés au château, par deux petits pavillons carrés. Dans la perspective du château se trouvent le jardin à la française, puis un grand tapis vert.

History
The first lords of Blanville appear at the end of the 16th century. The château, built in 1643 for Du Cluzel, intendant of Touraine, consists of a main body of building, flanked by two short wings. The outbuildings which extend the château on either side, turn back, limiting a large rectangular courtyard. The moats, which cross this large rectangle, are marked at the opposite angles to the château, by two small square pavilions. In the perspective of the château are found the French garden, then a large lawn.
