Historique
Le grand moulin, ou moulin Ferron, voit son existence établie dès le 17e siècle. C'est un moulin en bois posé directement sur le sol, la "croisée" touchant terre. Il est monté sur un pivot central étayé par quatre contreforts. Le mécanisme avec roues d'engrenage en bois et meules en pierre a été modernisé mais garde sa conception générale ancienne. Ce type est le plus spécifiquement beauceron. Avant guerre, le moulin possédait quatre ailes. La tête de l'arbre portant les ailes étant atteinte par la pourriture, deux ailes ont dû être enlevées fin 1939. Les anciennes toiles ont été remplacées par des pales mobiles en bois.

History
The great mill, or Ferron mill, has its existence established from the 17th century. It is a wooden mill placed directly on the ground, the "cross" touching earth. It is mounted on a central pivot supported by four buttresses. The mechanism with wooden gear wheels and stone millstones has been modernized but keeps its ancient general design. This type is the most specifically Beauce type. Before the war, the mill had four sails. The head of the shaft bearing the sails being affected by rot, two sails had to be removed at the end of 1939. The old cloths were replaced by mobile wooden sails.
