Installation du prieuré dès 1115 grâce au don de terres d'Agnès de Montigny, comtesse de Gannelon. Dépendant de l'abbaye mère de Thiron. Au début du 16e siècle, réaménagements de la façade est et de la distribution intérieure. Au 17e siècle, aménagement d'un escalier de circulation en bois. Au 18e siècle, le prieuré est simplement désigné comme "ferme d'Yron". Seul le rez-de-chaussée est utilisé. Il est morcelé à la Révolution. Logis de plan barlong, sur trois niveaux, qui conserve des tympans trilobés du 13e siècle et des percements du 16e siècle. L'escalier à vis, dans une tour hors-oeuvre pentagonale, conserve des sculptures représentatives des débuts de la Renaissance en Val de Loire.

History
Installation of the priory from 1115 thanks to the gift of lands from Agnès de Montigny, countess of Gannelon. Dependent on the mother abbey of Thiron. The spiral staircase, in a pentagonal projection tower, preserves sculptures representative of the early Renaissance in the Loire Valley.
