Historique

History
Of the old medieval castle destroyed during the reconstruction of the modern edifice, there remained a square platform, bordered by moats, which preserved the sloped bases of two corner towers to the north-east and south-east. The new residence was raised to the west of this platform, doubtless at the beginning of the 18th century, according to a U-shaped plan. A rectangular main dwelling is flanked to the north-east and south-east by two wings at right angles. In 1875, the central block was doubled in depth and two pavilions were constructed to the north-west and south-west, thus transforming an old castle into a more sumptuous dwelling. Dating also from the 19th century is the construction of outbuildings in the old bailey of the castle.
