Cette tour se compose de quatre étages. Le sous-sol est occupé par une salle hexagonale voûtée avec arêtier reposant, aux angles, sur des corbeaux. L'accès à cette salle se fait par un escalier. Le rez-de-chaussée est voûté de la même façon, avec voûte hexagonale à arêtiers saillants et chanfreins. Sur la façade dominant la ville, trois larges ébrasements permettaient la défense à travers des barbacanes. Un escalier conduisait aux étages supérieurs. Cette tour de la fin du 14e ou du début du 15e siècle est, avec quelques vestiges de caves, tout ce qui subsiste de l'ancien château qui aurait été démoli en 1621.

History
This tower consists of four storeys. The basement is occupied by a hexagonal vaulted room with diagonal ribs resting, at the corners, on corbels. Access to this room is by a staircase. The ground floor is vaulted in the same way, with hexagonal vault with salient diagonal ribs and chamfers. On the façade facing the town, three wide splays allowed defence through barbicans. A staircase led to the upper storeys. This tower of the late 14th or early 15th century is, with a few cellar remains, all that survives of the old castle which is said to have been demolished in 1621.
