Ancien moulin, peut-être construit au 17e siècle, dépendant du château de Boucard, et mentionné comme métairie sur le plan terrier de 1771. La locature comprend deux bâtiments à développement longitudinal, disposés presque en parallèle : l'habitation avec étable, remise, poulailler et atelier dans le prolongement ; la grange à fonctions multiples, de type rectangulaire traditionnel, qui comportait autrefois le logis à son extrémité ouest alors que l'ancien moulin, en face, servait de grange avant d'être aménagé en habitation au 19e siècle. Ces constructions emploient les matériaux naturels locaux : murs extérieurs en blocage de moellons de grès ferrugineux sombre, liés et enduits au mortier de chaux et de sable ; pans de bois à cadres assis sur un solin en appareil assisé de moellons de grès hourdé selon deux techniques : en palissons et à potelets verticaux. Le cloisonnement interne en pans de bois est conservé. La Gravière est le prototype de la petite exploitation traditionnelle de type locaturier.

History
Former mill, perhaps built in the 17th century, depending on the château de Boucard, and mentioned as a farm on the terrier plan of 1771. The farmstead comprises two buildings with longitudinal development, arranged almost in parallel: the dwelling with stable, shed, henhouse and workshop in continuation; the barn of multiple functions, of traditional rectangular type, which formerly included the dwelling at its western end while the old mill, opposite, served as a barn before being converted into a dwelling in the 19th century. These constructions employ local natural materials: exterior walls in rubble stone of dark ferruginous sandstone, bonded and rendered in lime and sand mortar; timber framing with frameworks resting on a plinth in dressed ashlar of sandstone rubble bonded according to two techniques: in palisade work and with vertical posts. The interior timber framing partitioning is preserved. La Gravière is the prototype of the small traditional farm of tenant farmer type.
