Historique

History
The existence of the castle is attested in the 14th century. Of this seigneurial residence probably built for Jean du Pin, there certainly remain the foundations and the west tower. In the 15th century it took its present appearance, built by François de Saint-Avit, counsellor of Charles VII. In the 17th century, then in possession of the family of Bigny favourable to the party of Condé, the castle is mutilated by order of the king. It is restored in the second half of the 17th century. The building presents itself today as a cruciform main dwelling, composed of a rectangular main body with two storeys flanked to the east by a half-projecting staircase turret, of half-octagonal plan. A gateway rebuilt in the 17th century gives access to the entrance court, closed to the north by a keeper's lodge and, to the south, by farm buildings.
