Cet hôtel a primitivement appartenu aux Pelorde, puis aux Bengy et enfin aux Gassot de la Vienne, qui y firent construire le portail en 1749. Le portail de l'hôtel Gassot de la Vienne, qui était situé rue Jacques-Coeur et aujourd'hui détruit, avait été remonté au 19e siècle au 3, place Rabelais. This hotel originally belonged to the Pelorde, then to the Bengy and finally to the Gassot de la Vienne, who had the portal built there in 1749.
