Maison construite par Jean du Chièvre, échevin de Bourges. Le rez-de-chaussée comporte une boutique sous une arcade surbaissée, puis une porte donnant sur un couloir éclairé par une baie à meneau. Le second étage a conservé sa croisée et le comble sa lucarne à pilastres et fronton. Des pilastres à chapiteaux ioniques limitent les travées du rez-de-chaussée. La cour conserve des ouvertures anciennes et un puits couvert portant l'écu aux armes de Jean du Chièvre.

History
House constructed by Jean du Chièvre, alderman of Bourges. The ground floor comprises a shop under a depressed arcade, then a door giving on to a corridor lit by a mullioned opening. The second floor has retained its cross-window and the roof space its dormer with pilasters and pediment. Pilasters with Ionic capitals limit the bays of the ground floor. The courtyard retains old openings and a covered well bearing the shield with the arms of Jean du Chièvre.
