This castle was built for the family of Vinon in the late 15th century or early 16th century, perhaps in part after 1524. In front of the castle is found a semi-circular base court which preserves a dovecote, stables and barns. These buildings are pierced with dormers in sculpted stone, of Renaissance style. In the 18th century, a single-arch stone bridge replaced the old drawbridge and allows access to the castle. Entry into the inner courtyard is made by passing under a square tower. This courtyard is surrounded by buildings constructed using the remains of the primitive feudal castle of which traces remain. Facing the entrance, the far end of the courtyard is occupied by a 15th-century building whose façade is divided in two by a stair turret. It is pierced with windows ornamented with colonnettes or prismatic mouldings. The wings bordering the courtyard, to the north and south, are later (north: 1550; south: 1600-1650). In the 16th and 17th centuries, the outer walls were pierced with large windows. On the first floor of the south wing is found the chapel as well as a room whose chimney mantelpiece is carved with a Renaissance frieze representing a mythological cavalry combat. The estate was put up for sale in 1718, then in 1769, at which time the castle was converted into a farmhouse.
