Historique
Le château était à l'origine ceinturé d'un fossé rempli d'eau, encore présent à l'ouest et au sud. Il a été construit en 1660 par Vital de Pezan sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne maison forte fréquemment menacée par des attaques de routiers. Son plan s'organise autour d'un bâtiment principal rectangulaire, complété par deux ailes en retour et deux bâtiments plus modestes de part et d'autre du portail de briques, formant une cour clôturée. Sur trois des angles, l'édifice est cantonné par une tour carrée couronnée d'un toit à deux ou à quatre pans. History
The castle was originally encircled by a ditch filled with water, still present to the west and south. It was built in 1660 by Vital de Pezan on the site of an old fortified house frequently threatened by attacks of brigands. Its plan is organized around a rectangular main building, completed by two wings set at right angles and two more modest buildings on either side of the brick portal, forming a closed courtyard. On three of the angles, the building is flanked by a square tower crowned with a roof with two or four slopes. The interior of the north wing preserves painted ceilings decorated with foliage scrollwork in monochrome greys, white and blue with black highlights, on a light ground in the first room, on a red ground in the second. In the dining room are preserved 19th-century wallpapers illustrating the history of Telemachus.
