Historique

History
The church has a Romanesque origin. It was erected as a priory in the 16th century. From the 12th century, the building retains a semi-circular apse preceded by a square choir, vaulted with groins, above which stands the bell tower. The apse has a cul-de-four vault which rests on a band. It was transformed in the 19th century by the addition of small modillions with acanthus leaf. The old central window, framed by small columns with animal-decorated capitals, became a niche. On the exterior, the cornice has disappeared. On the left side of the choir is placed a 15th-century chapel, former seigneurial chapel covered with a rib vault with filleted tores. The capital with rounded basket is decorated with foliage. The nave is vaulted with a barrel vault of timber boarding. It was flanked on the right, in the 16th century, by an aisle. The facade pierced by the portal was rebuilt and advanced in 1878. The bell tower, remodelled at this time, presents an unfinished square tower, without crowning. It is pierced on each of its sides by a twin opening.
