Historique

History
At the beginning of 1659, the consuls of Moissac proposed to the Doctrinaires, established in Toulouse, to found a college for the education of youth. On 26 April, the Doctrinaires took possession of the land offered by the town, dependent on the abbey. Construction work was completed at the end of 1660. In 1677, the first stone was laid for the chapel and the walls to enclose the courtyards. The portal of the chapel was made in 1713. During the Revolution, the college was closed and the buildings served as a place of confinement for suspects and as accommodation for gendarmes. The chapel was used for the worship of the goddess Reason. In 1826, the college was returned to education and the chapel became the parish church of the district. Monumental chimney of the kitchen dated 1673.
