Maison bâtie sous la régence de Marie de Médicis dont l'origine italienne avait poussé la reine à mettre en vogue l'architecture de son pays. Cet hôtel était la demeure d'une famille ancienne et importante de la ville, la famille d'Espagne qui l'a fait bâtir au début du 17e siècle. L'hôtel en brique et pierre possède une tour carrée reposant en encorbellement, par des voûtes en arceaux tronqués, sur deux piliers adossés au mur. La tour, couverte d'un dôme à quatre versants surélevés, est couronnée d'une lanterne, surmontée elle-même d'un pignon. Le corps de logis se compose de trois bâtiments qui encadrent une cour. La façade du bâtiment de gauche se termine en forme de fronton arrondi qui encadre deux modillons rectangulaires. Du fond des bâtiments émerge une tour carré formant belvédère. La cour d'entrée est fermée par un mur dans lequel s'ouvre le portail à fronton, au centre duquel est enchâssé un écu de pierre qui devait porter les armes du maître du logis.

History
House built under the regency of Marie de Medici whose Italian origin had led the queen to bring into fashion the architecture of her country. This hotel was the residence of an ancient and important family of the city, the family d'Espagne who had it built in the early 17th century. The hotel in brick and stone possesses a square tower resting in corbelling, by vaults in truncated arches, on two pillars attached to the wall. The tower, covered with a dome with four raised slopes, is crowned with a lantern, surmounted itself by a gable. The main dwelling consists of three buildings which frame a courtyard. The facade of the left building terminates in the form of a rounded pediment which frames two rectangular modillions. From the back of the buildings emerges a square tower forming a belvedere. The entrance courtyard is closed by a wall in which opens the portal with pediment, in the centre of which is set a stone shield which was to bear the arms of the master of the house.
