La tour dite de l'horloge a été construite au 18e siècle, à l'emplacement de la porte d'Arnaud Othon, reste des fortifications de l'ancienne ville. History
Former city of the bargemen of the Garonne, Auvillar was surrounded by ramparts possessing fortified gates. The tower known as the clock tower was constructed in the 18th century, at the location of the gate of Arnaud Othon, a remnant of the fortifications of the ancient city. On a porch, several rooms are superimposed, not vaulted, but covered with ceilings.
