Au cours des guerres de Religion, l'édifice fut démoli par les Protestants en 1573 mais le clocher médiéval resta debout. L'édifice comprend une abside à sept pans autrefois fortifiée et surmontée d'une tour octogonale à deux étages, seuls restes de l'église dont la nef a été détruite. Au-dessus de l'arcade d'entrée subsistent les mâchicoulis de défense. Il ne reste plus rien des parapets du chemin de ronde établi à la base de la tour. Les larges contreforts sont reliés, à leur sommet, par des voûtes en berceau.

History
During the Wars of Religion, the building was demolished by the Protestants in 1573 but the medieval bell tower remained standing. The building comprises an apse with seven sides formerly fortified and surmounted by an octagonal tower with two storeys, sole remains of the church whose nave was destroyed. Above the entrance arcade remain the machicolations for defence. Nothing remains of the parapets of the wallwalk established at the base of the tower. The wide buttresses are linked, at their summit, by barrel vaults.
