History
Enclosure built by the count of Toulouse, Raymond VII, completed in its essential parts in 1229. The entrance gate is a round arch, surmounted by a watch turret flanked to the east and west by a tower. The interior facing of the gate is probably contemporary with the foundation of the bastide.
