"Les maisons protégées dans cette rue sont représentatives d'une architecture régionale. Elles sont à deux étages, en encorbellement l'un sur l'autre, le premier très avancé, le second beaucoup moins saillant et surmonté d'un galetas en clair-étage, dénommé "souleilhé". Les façades sont en pans de bois, à croisillons garnis de briques posées tantôt horizontalement, tantôt obliquement. Le n°8 conserve une rampe d'escalier portant la date de 1601. Ces maisons sont de la même époque et représentent le type "moyen" des maisons d'Albi à la fin du 16e siècle. L'une d'entre elles a conservé les sculptures de ses pans de bois."

History
The protected houses on this street are representative of regional architecture. They are two storeys, each projecting over the other, the first very pronounced, the second much less prominent and surmounted by an attic in clear-storey, called "souleilhé". The façades are in timber framing, with lattice filled with bricks laid sometimes horizontally, sometimes obliquely. No. 8 preserves a stair ramp bearing the date 1601.
