Historique
L'église du 12e ou 13e siècle se compose d'une nef rectangulaire de deux travées, terminée par une abside à pans coupés et couronnée par une voûte en berceau. La nef était primitivement éclairée par deux meurtrières étroites. A l'ouest, contre la première travée, se dresse une tour carrée du 17e siècle, au beffroi ajouré de quatre baies divisées par des colonnettes monolithes. Située au sud, la porte d'entrée présente un tympan orné du Chrisme avec l'alpha et l'oméga. En face de la porte s'ouvre une chapelle qui paraît postérieure à la construction de l'église. La voûte de l'église ainsi que celle de la chapelle ont reçu, au milieu du 16e siècle, un décor de fresques historiées réalisées par Melchior Rodrigis. En entrant dans la nef, de chaque côté de l'arceau de la tribune, sont représentés le prophète Isaïe et le Christ. La première travée de la voûte a reçu deux scènes de la Passion (condamnation par Pilate et portement de croix). La seconde travée présente le Christ docteur, entouré des Evangélistes et de leurs attributs. La voûte de la chapelle porte des scènes de la vie de la Vierge et de saint Jean-Baptiste. L'abside avait également été peinte par l'artiste, mais un retable cache cet ensemble. Les parois extérieures de l'église ont également reçu des peintures du côté sud. Sur la porte d'entrée, au-dessus du tympan, se voit le Christ en croix entre la Vierge et saint Antoine d'un côté, et les évêques saints Blaise et Exupère de l'autre. Entre les deux contreforts se déroule le Jugement dernier. Sur le contrefort de gauche a été représentée la pesée de âmes. Sur le contrefort de droite trois dames en habit d'époque Henri II représentent la Foi, l'Espérance et la Charité. Près de la porte du cimetière se trouve un petit oratoire qui semble plus ancien que l'église et qui a également reçu une ornementation peinte (Père Eternel entre saint Pierre et saint Paul ; monogrammes du Christ et de la Vierge entourés du tétramorphe ; légende de sainte Catherine d'Alexandrie).

History
The church of the 12th or 13th century consists of a rectangular nave of two bays, terminated by a chevet with cut corners and crowned by a barrel vault. The nave was originally lit by two narrow loopholes. To the west, against the first bay, stands a square tower of the 17th century, with a belfry pierced by four openings divided by monolithic colonettes. Situated to the south, the entrance door presents a tympanum decorated with the Chi-Rho with the alpha and omega. Opposite the door opens a chapel which appears later than the construction of the church. The vault of the church as well as that of the chapel received, in the mid-16th century, a decoration of narrative frescoes executed by Melchior Rodrigis. On entering the nave, on each side of the arch of the gallery, are represented the prophet Isaiah and Christ. The first bay of the vault received two scenes of the Passion (condemnation by Pilate and carrying of the cross). The second bay presents Christ the Teacher, surrounded by the Evangelists and their attributes. The vault of the chapel bears scenes from the life of the Virgin and of Saint John the Baptist. The chevet had also been painted by the artist, but an altarpiece conceals this ensemble. The external walls of the church also received paintings on the south side. On the entrance door, above the tympanum, is seen Christ on the cross between the Virgin and Saint Anthony on one side, and the saint bishops Blaise and Exupère on the other.
