Historique
La tour, construite en granit, est établie sur plan carré et ne présente aucune trace de liaison avec les anciennes fortifications, aujourd'hui à peu près disparues. Il s'agit donc d'une tour-réduit ou d'un donjon. La porte y donnant accès se trouve à 3, 70 mètres au-dessus du niveau du sol extérieur. La terrasse de la façade sud-ouest est de construction postérieure. La porte qui permet d'accéder de la terrasse au rez-de-chaussée de la tour, a été percée vers le milieu du 19e siècle. Près de l'ancienne porte d'entrée se trouve un escalier en pierre, à vis, établi dans l'épaisseur du mur, et aboutissant au premier étage. Le deuxième étage était accessible par une échelle. A peu près à mi hauteur entre le plancher du deuxième étage et le sommet de la voûte se trouve la porte d'un second escalier en pierre desservant le ou les étages supérieurs, destinés à loger la garnison. La partie supérieure des murs extérieurs est garnie de corbeaux destinés à recevoir des hourds.

History
The tower, constructed in granite, is established on a square plan and presents no trace of connection with the old fortifications, now almost disappeared. It is therefore a tower-redoubt or a keep. The door giving access to it is found 3.70 metres above the level of the external ground. The terrace of the south-west façade is of later construction. The door which allows access from the terrace to the ground floor of the tower was pierced around the middle of the 19th century. Near the old entrance door is found a spiral stone staircase, established in the thickness of the wall, and leading to the first floor. The second floor was accessible by a ladder. At approximately half the height between the floor of the second storey and the top of the vault is found the door of a second stone staircase serving the upper storey or storeys, intended to house the garrison. The upper part of the external walls is furnished with corbels intended to receive hoardings.
