Ce moulin est construit en 1813 pour remplacer celui sur la commune voisine de Cézac, régulièrement foudroyé ; il s'arrête avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le bâtiment en pierre (moellons ou pierre de taille) possède deux entrées opposées en rez-de-chaussée ; il comprend une cheminée, un lit sous l'escalier tournant suspendu sans rampe, un placard, et dans l'épaisseur de la maçonnerie une niche de stockage de la farine reliée à l'étage des meules par une conduite en bois. Dans la salle des meules, l'inscription sur le châssis "QUEBRE LOUIS 1892" témoigne de réfections. Le moulin est équipé d'un dispositif original de commande permettant au meunier, averti par une clochette quand le vent augmentait, de régler depuis son lit l'écartement des meules et le débit du grain dans la trémie. History
This mill was built in 1813 to replace the one on the neighbouring commune of Cézac, regularly struck by lightning; it stopped before the Second World War. The stone building (rubble stone or ashlar stone) has two opposite entrances on the ground floor; it comprises a fireplace, a bed under the suspended spiral staircase without a handrail, a cupboard, and in the thickness of the masonry a flour storage niche connected to the millstone floor by a wooden conduit. In the millstone room, the inscription on the frame "QUEBRE LOUIS 1892" testifies to repairs. The mill is equipped with an original control device allowing the miller, warned by a bell when the wind increased, to regulate from his bed the spacing of the millstones and the flow of grain into the hopper. It is restored in the late 1960s, the roof is remade and the motor shaft changed. Open to the public from June to September, it offers demonstrations of milling five times a year, particularly on 17 June for the national day of mills.
