Historique

History
The abbey was founded in the 12th century by Benedictine monks. Only the enclosure wall dates from this period. The church is formed of two distinct parts, one in ruins which may belong to the beginning of Romanesque architecture, the second dating from the 13th century. Some capitals are historiated. The enclosure is pierced by a covered gateway with a pointed arch and a rear soffit with a depressed arch (13th century, 14th century) whose top forms a machicolated parapet.
