L'église fut donnée au monastère du Vigan par Raymont Stéphani, seigneur de Gigouzac. L'ensemble de l'édifice remonte au 12e siècle. L'église primitive devait probablement comporter un chevet plat, qui a été remplacé au 14e siècle par le chevet actuel dont les voûtes d'ogives retombent sur des culs de lampe historiés. Entre la nef et les chapelles existe, contre le mur sud, le tombeau de la famille des Valon de Gigouzac dont l'enfeu a été refait au 19e siècle.

History
The church was given to the monastery of Vigan by Raymont Stéphani, lord of Gigouzac. The entirety of the building dates from the 12th century. The primitive church probably should have had a flat chevet, which was replaced in the 14th century by the present chevet whose rib vaults spring from corbels ornamented with carved figures. Between the nave and the chapels there exists, against the south wall, the tomb of the family of the Valon de Gigouzac whose tomb recess was remade in the 19th century.
