Historique
L'hôpital remonte au 5e siècle. Il était l'un des cinq hospices de la ville. En 1682, Louis XIV le transforma en hôpital général affecté au renfermement des pauvres. En 1768, les administrateurs décidèrent la construction, derrière les bâtiments existants, de trois coprs de logis. Les travaux commencèrent par l'aile occidentale, en 1770. Le tout fut terminé en 1779. Faute de ressources, l'aile orientale fut réalisée en 1850. Le bâtiment de la buanderie date de 1784. La chapelle et le clocher, réédifiés en 1850, dataient de 1304. De 1900 à 1902 furent construits le presbytère et un pavillon pour les bureaux de l'économat, reliés à la nouvelle loge du concierge par une grille au milieu de laquelle se trouve la porte d'entrée.

History
The hospital dates back to the 5th century. It was one of five hospices in the city. In 1682, Louis XIV transformed it into a general hospital intended for the confinement of the poor. In 1768, the administrators decided on the construction, behind the existing buildings, of three dwelling blocks. Work began with the western wing in 1770. All was completed in 1779.
