Historique
L'église existait déjà au 7e siècle et était alors placée sous la dédicace de Saint-Saturnin, premier évêque de Toulouse, et de Saint-Urcisse, évêque de Cahors. L'église actuelle possédait autrefois une crypte qui remontait à une origine très ancienne et a été ensevelie lors de la crue de 1927. La nef est complétée de collatéraux accompagnés, au nord, de deux chapelles du 15e siècle. Elle est prolongée par une abside à trois pans. La voûte d'ogives de la nef est supportée par quatre gros piliers carrés romans aux chapiteaux historiés. Le portail gothique à l'ouest est surmonté d'une rose. Le mur pignon fut prolongé en 1870 par un clocher mur qui provoqua la destabilisation de l'édifice. Ce clocher fut démoli en 1968. Deux tourelles sont adossées à la façade.

History
The church already existed in the 7th century and was then placed under the dedication of Saint-Saturnin, first bishop of Toulouse, and of Saint-Urcisse, bishop of Cahors. The present church formerly possessed a crypt which dated back to a very ancient origin and was buried during the flood of 1927. The nave is completed by aisles accompanied, to the north, by two chapels of the 15th century. It is extended by an apse with three faces. The rib vault of the nave is supported by four large square Romanesque pillars with historiated capitals. The Gothic portal to the west is surmounted by a rose window. The gable wall was extended in 1870 by a bell-tower wall which caused the destabilisation of the building. This bell tower was demolished in 1968. Two turrets are built against the façade.
