Construction de la fin du 16e ou du début du 17e siècle, dont le plan ramassé se compose de trois corps de bâtiment disposés suivant un U entourant une cour d'honneur ouverte au sud. Au fond de cette cour se dresse une tour carrée contenant l'escalier. Les quatre angles du carré dans lequel s'inscrivent les bâtiments, sont flanqués chacun d'une tour ronde dont le dernier étage forme mâchicoulis. Les bâtiments sont couverts en schiste épais du pays. Les lucarnes des combles présentent les caractères du 16e siècle local. Les fenêtres ont été dépouillées de leurs meneaux au 19e siècle. Le château devait primitivement être entouré de douves remplies d'eau qui ont été comblées. Les intérieurs ont été défigurés. Seules deux pièces du premier étage ont conservé leurs plafonds à la Française, décorés de peintures qui ont été refaites ou restaurées, à l'exception des médaillons ou cartouches ornés de paysages. Sont également conservées deux cheminées en bois sculptées du 17e siècle. L'escalier à rampes droites et voûtes rampantes est resté intact.

History
Construction of the late 16th or early 17th century, whose compact plan consists of three bodies of building arranged in a U surrounding a courtyard of honour open to the south. At the end of this courtyard stands a square tower containing the staircase. The four angles of the square within which the buildings are inscribed are each flanked by a round tower whose last storey forms machicolations. The buildings are roofed in thick local slate. The dormers of the roof space present the characteristics of the local 16th century. The windows were stripped of their mullions in the 19th century. The château was originally to be surrounded by water-filled moats which have been filled in. The interiors have been disfigured. Only two rooms on the first floor have retained their French ceilings, decorated with paintings which have been repainted or restored, except for the medallions or cartouches ornamented with landscapes. Also preserved are two carved wooden fireplaces of the 17th century. The staircase with straight ramps and rampant vaults remains intact.
