Le village était autrefois défendu par un rempart dont il ne reste qu'une porte de ville et une tour carré. La tour dite de l'horloge, de plan carré, comporte trois étages. Une porte avec arc ogival donne accès à la ville. Au premier étage, une meurtrière, percée dans l'axe de la façade, défendait l'entrée. Les murs construits en maçonnerie n'existent que sur trois côtés. Ils se reliaient à la courtine. La façade côté ville est en pan de bois. Le dernier plancher ainsi que le crénelage ont été démolis. La tour Est, appelée donjon, est construite à l'intérieur de la ville et présente également un plan carré. La porte et la courtine, aujourd'hui disparues, prolongeaient la façade extérieure.

History
The village was formerly defended by a rampart of which remain only a city gate and a square tower. The tower called the clock tower, of square plan, comprises three storeys. A door with ogival arch gives access to the city. On the first floor, a loophole, pierced in the axis of the façade, defended the entrance. The walls built in masonry exist only on three sides. They connected to the curtain. The façade on the city side is in timber framing. The last floor and the crenellation have been demolished. The East tower, called the keep, is constructed within the city and also presents a square plan. The door and curtain, now disappeared, extended the outer façade.
