Ce château, dit de type "gascon", fait partie du système défensif établi de part et d'autre de la frontière anglo-française à la fin du 13e siècle. De plan rectangulaire, il se termine aux extrémités Est et Ouest par deux tours carrées, diagonalement opposées l'une à l'autre, et plus élevées que le corps de logis. History
This château, said to be of "Gascon" type, forms part of the defensive system established on either side of the Anglo-French border at the end of the 13th century. Of rectangular plan, it terminates at the East and West extremities with two square towers, diagonally opposite each other, and higher than the main dwelling. Loopholes and arrow slits have been replaced by vast windows. Only the third storey was pierced on the south by geminate windows with trilobed arcatures supported by a central column. The other openings have been destroyed or blocked. Inside, the divisions were altered in the 19th century. The old crowning elements have been destroyed.
