Historique
Le village fortifié de Larressingle est un très intéressant exemple d'architecture militaire du 13e siècle. Larressingle abritait une "villa", résidence des abbés de Condom. Devenu castrum, Larressingle est transféré en 1279 à Edouard Ier d'Angleterre. En 1324, Larressingle retombe dans le domaine royal de France, sous dépendance de l'évêché de Condom. L'unique entrée ancienne se fait sous la tour centrale. Le pont comportait autrefois un double pont-levis. L'enceinte se compose de plusieurs tours (tour de la maison Dugoujon ; tour de la maison Malo...). Les fossés ont conservé leurs profils. Les maisons adossées à la courtine datent majoritairement du 17e siècle.

History
The fortified village of Larressingle is a most interesting example of military architecture of the 13th century. Larressingle harboured a "villa", residence of the abbots of Condom. Become a castrum, Larressingle is transferred in 1279 to Edward I of England. In 1324, Larressingle falls back into the royal domain of France, under the dependence of the bishopric of Condom.
