Selon la légende, Sainte-Germaine aurait été décapitée à cet endroit au 9e siècle par les Normands ou les Sarrasins, dans l'enceinte de son monastère. Au 12e siècle, la famille de la sainte fit rebâtir le monastère. L'entrée dans l'enceinte se fait par un portail plein cintre portant la date de 1730, date à laquelle l'église aurait été agrandie. Porte romane à tympan, entourée de deux colonnes à chapiteaux romans. A l'intérieur, l'abside présente quatre colonnes avec chapiteaux romans. En face du clocher, se trouve une tourelle carrée contenant un escalier à vis.

History
According to legend, Sainte-Germaine would have been beheaded at this spot in the 9th century by the Normans or Saracens, within the enclosure of her monastery. In the 12th century, the family of the saint had the monastery rebuilt. The entrance to the enclosure is made by a round arch portal bearing the date 1730, the date at which the church would have been enlarged. Romanesque door with tympanum, surrounded by two columns with Romanesque capitals. Inside, the apse presents four columns with Romanesque capitals. Opposite the bell tower, there is a small square turret containing a spiral staircase.
