La tour est l'un des derniers vestiges des remparts du village, remontant sans doute au 15e siècle. Le rez-de-chaussée est conçu comme la quasi totalité des portes fortifiées des villages du Gers. La porte se bloquait du dedans par des barres trnasversales qui l'appuyaient contre un arc d'ouverture moindre que la voûte. L'accès au premier étage se faisait par un escalier de pierre, celui du second devait se faire par une échelle intérieure. Le toit est couvert de tuiles à canal alternant avec des tuiles plates à crochet.

History
The tower is one of the last remains of the ramparts of the village, dating probably to the 15th century. The ground floor is designed as virtually all of the fortified gates of villages in the Gers. The gate was blocked from inside by transverse bars that supported it against an opening arch smaller than the vault. Access to the first floor was by a stone staircase, that of the second was to be by an internal ladder. The roof is covered with channel tiles alternating with flat hook tiles.
