Portant le millésime 1648 au coin droit de la fenêtre au sommet de la tour, le moulin à vent dit En Carretou est un des plus anciens du grand sud-ouest, connu pour son intérêt technique. De type tour, tronconique, sur une butte, et jumelé avec un moulin daté de 1832, abandonné au début du siècle dernier, il est construit en matériaux tout venant, moellons et briques romaines du Lauragais, sur une base renforcée de bonne épaisseur (1, 30 m). La porte en plein cintre est surmontée d'une baie par laquelle étaient hissés les sacs de grain, blé ou maïs. Les rouages de bois logés à l'intérieur entraînaient la paire de meules de 1, 70 m de diamètre. Ce complexe, avec sa maison de meunier, disposait d'un petit moulin à eau et approvisionnait à la fin du 19e siècle la clientèle locale. Il s'est arrêté à la mort du meunier, Hippolyte Cazeneuve, en 1963. La toiture en bardeaux a été refaite en 1983, ainsi que le gouvernail.

History
Bearing the date 1648 at the right corner of the window at the top of the tower, the windmill called En Carretou is one of the oldest in the large south-west, known for its technical interest. Of tower type, trunconic, on a mound, and paired with a mill dated 1832, abandoned in the early last century, it is built with assorted materials, rubble stone and Roman bricks from the Lauragais, on a reinforced base of good thickness (1.30 m). The round-arch door is surmounted by an opening through which sacks of grain, wheat or maize were hoisted. The wooden gears housed inside drove the pair of millstones 1.70 m in diameter. This complex, with its miller's house, had a small water mill and supplied the local clientele at the end of the 19th century. It ceased when the miller, Hippolyte Cazeneuve, died in 1963. The shingled roof was remade in 1983, as was the tail vane.
