Le dessin ovale de la place est une transformation d'un premier projet daté de 1797, qui prévoyait un hémicycle ouvert. Le plan définitif a été approuvé en 1806. History
The oval design of the square is a transformation of an initial project dated 1797, which provided for an open hemicycle. The definitive plan was approved in 1806.
