Historique
La première chapelle de l'ordre fut construite en 1327. L'édifice fut concédé aux Pénitents Bleus après la fondation de leur confrérie à toulouse, en 1576. Cette confrérie, dont les rois de France firent partie de Louis XIII à Charles X, acheta l'immeuble contigu à l'ouest, démolit l'ancienne chapelle et construisit en 1614 l'édifice actuel. La façade frontispice se compose d'une ordonnance de quatre pilastres ioniques couronnés d'un fronton. Pilastres, piédestaux, entablement, fronton, encadrement du portail et oculus, sont bâtis en pierre de taille pour former un contraste avec la brique du mur. Cette façade est l'un des monuments marquants du classicisme à Toulouse.

History
The first chapel of the order was built in 1327. The building was granted to the Blue Penitents after the founding of their confraternity in Toulouse in 1576. This confraternity, of which the Kings of France were members from Louis XIII to Charles X, purchased the building adjoining to the west, demolished the old chapel and built in 1614 the present building. The frontispiece façade is composed of an arrangement of four Ionic pilasters crowned with a pediment. Pilasters, pedestals, entablature, pediment, framing of the portal and oculus, are built in cut stone to form a contrast with the brick of the wall. This façade is one of the outstanding monuments of classicism in Toulouse.
