Historique
L'édifice fut élevé au début du 16e siècle, à l'emplacement de dix petites maisons, par Jacques Rivière, conseiller au Parlement (1516-1548). L'hôtel conserve une tour en briques, couronnée de mâchicoulis et percée d'une porte et de trois fenêtres en pierre. Au-dessus de la porte, l'écusson martelé est soutenu par deux lions mutilés. La margelle du puits est ornée, dans un angle, d'un mascaron. L'hôtel a été détruit en 1944.

History
The edifice was erected at the beginning of the 16th century, on the site of ten small houses, by Jacques Rivière, counsellor to Parliament (1516-1548). The hotel retains a brick tower, crowned with machicolations and pierced with a door and three stone windows. Above the door, the defaced coat of arms is supported by two mutilated lions. The rim of the well is adorned, in one corner, with a mascaron. The hotel was destroyed in 1944.
