Historique
Les religieux de Saint-Antoine, établis au 12e siècle, hors les murs près du château narbonnais, vinrent s'installer rue Pharaon au 14e siècle, pour s'abriter des Anglais à l'intérieur de la ville. En 1580, ils cédèrent la place aux Cordeliers de l'Isle-Jourdain, chassés de leur ville, qui agrandirent et reconstruisirent le monastère après 1656. Désaffectée à la Révolution, l'église fut acquise en 1807 par les religieuses de Notre-Dame, puis, en 1822, par la confrérie des Pénitents Bleus. L'église a été réalisée sur les plans de Rivalz, selon les ordonnances classiques du 17e siècle italien. La décoration absidiale est l'oeuvre de Joseph Roques.

History
The religious of Saint-Antoine, established in the 12th century, outside the walls near the Narbonnese castle, came to settle in the rue Pharaon in the 14th century, to shelter from the English inside the city. In 1580, they ceded their place to the Cordeliers of Isle-Jourdain, driven from their city, who enlarged and rebuilt the monastery after 1656. Disused at the Revolution, the church was acquired in 1807 by the nuns of Notre-Dame, then, in 1822, by the brotherhood of the Pénitents Bleus. The church was built on the plans of Rivalz, according to the classical ordinances of the Italian 17th century. The decoration of the apse is the work of Joseph Roques.
