Historique
Fondation d'un monastère bénédictin au 8e siècle, donné au prieuré de Lézat en 1003. Au 12e siècle (après 1132) , construction de l'église actuelle. Au 14e siècle, le monastère se désagrège et l'église sert désormais seulement de paroisse. L'édifice présente un plan tréflé et s'ouvre, au sud, par un porche roman historié représentant le Christ en majesté entouré du Tétramorphe. Clocher-pignon à deux arcades. A l'intérieur, l'abside est voûtée en cul de four, ainsi que les deux absidioles. Tailloirs, chapiteaux, bases de colonnes et piliers sont ornés d'un décor roman caractéristique. Restauration vers 1880 (démolition de l'ancienne sacristie, construction d'une nouvelle sacristie).

History
Foundation of a Benedictine monastery in the 8th century, given to the priory of Lézat in 1003. In the 12th century (after 1132), construction of the present church. In the 14th century, the monastery disintegrated and the church henceforth served only as a parish. The building presents a trefoil plan and opens, to the south, by a historiated Romanesque porch representing Christ in Majesty surrounded by the Tetramorph. Gable bell tower with two arcades. In the interior, the apse is vaulted in cul de four, as are the two absidioles. Abacuses, capitals, bases of columns and piers are decorated with characteristic Romanesque ornament. Restoration around 1880 (demolition of the old sacristy, construction of a new sacristy).
