Autorisée en 1829, la briqueterie des frères Virebent a dû son succès à un procédé mécanique et à une technique à l'emporte pièce, pour la création d'appliques décoratives de façades. Dans l'atelier de préparation des moules, sont disposés quelques modèles de ces moules. Ayant imposé son style à l'architecture toulousaine, de brique ornementale et décorative, l'usine de céramique est construite de ces éléments : au dessus, bâtiment comprenant le logement du contremaître ; écuries avec, à l'entrée, décors céramiques de la célèbre frise des archers de Darius, et local du roulage, en surplomb. La villa à l'italienne, demeure de la famille Virebent est décorée, ainsi que le parc, d'éléments réalisés sur place.

History
Authorised in 1829, the brick factory of the Virebent brothers owed its success to a mechanical process and a die-cutting technique, for the creation of decorative appliqués for façades. It also produced large objects, by means of moulded pieces. Around 1858, Gaston Virebent introduced the manufacture of stoneware and glazed earthenware. He directed the factory until his death in 1925. One of his sons maintained the activity at craft level until 1965. The vestiges of this brick factory preserve, near the chimney with square base from the 1870s, the remains of the circular kiln in raw earth, and its lining of fired brick (19th century), enamel kilns, a small reversed-flame kiln and a muffle kiln (20th century). In the mould-preparation workshop, some models of these moulds are arranged. Having imposed its style on Toulouse architecture, of ornamental and decorative brick, the ceramics factory is built of these elements: above, building comprising the accommodation of the foreman; stables with, at the entrance, ceramic decorations of the famous frieze of the archers of Darius, and haulage room, in overhang. The Italianate villa, residence of the Virebent family, is decorated, as is the park, with elements produced on site.
