Sur la face sud, à quinze mètres du sol, s'ouvre une fenêtre donnant accès à une vaste salle carrée, pavée de grosses dalles de pierre, et surplombant, selon l'histoire locale, les oubliettes de l'ancien château. Autour d'elle gisent des pans de murailles, restes des différentes parties du bâtiment comme le pont-levis et la chapelle. Le cimetière repose sur l'ancien château enclos par l'enceinte.

History
This tower is the last vestige of the former manor of the counts of Sabran. On the south face, fifteen metres above ground, opens a window giving access to a vast square room, paved with large stone slabs, and overlooking, according to local history, the oubliettes of the former castle. Around it lie sections of walls, remains of different parts of the building such as the drawbridge and the chapel. The cemetery rests on the former castle enclosed by the curtain wall.
