History
The cross is older than the base which dates from the 17th or 18th century. The cross has an irregular octagonal section and carries sculpted motifs. On the anterior and posterior faces, each corner of the square, delimited by the intersection of the two arms of the cross, is adorned with a ball. On the anterior face, a Christ crucified is framed by the symbols of the Evangelists each holding a scroll. On the posterior face, a Pietà is placed on a console which appears to be an angel's head between its wings. The lateral faces of the lower branch of the cross each carry a bishop, with feet placed on a motif recalling an angel's head. This calvary was the object of processions.
