Historique
Architecture fortifiée médiévale. Plusieurs corps de logis enserrent une cour intérieure avec tours rondes et carrées. La tour la plus ancienne est le donjon carré, situé au centre de la façade ouest. Au premier étage, une pièce voûtée est ornée d'un décor floral peint. En arrière de la façade ouest, s'élève un corps de bâtiment rectangulaire ouvert de fenêtres Renaissance, et dont l'accès se fait par une tour contenant une vis en pierre et donnant sur une galerie aux premier et second étages. Escalier et galeries sont ornés de peintures. La tour carrée de la façade nord est accolée à l'église du village, ancienne chapelle castrale. Une galerie y donnait accès depuis la cour intérieure. L'ensemble est unifié par les consoles des mâchicoulis qui soutenaient un chemin de ronde autour du château. Décor peint du 17e siècle.

History
Medieval fortified architecture. Several ranges of buildings enclose an interior courtyard with round and square towers. The oldest tower is the square keep, located in the centre of the west façade. On the first floor, a vaulted chamber is decorated with painted floral ornament. Behind the west façade rises a rectangular range of building opened by Renaissance windows, and accessed by a tower containing a stone spiral staircase and giving onto a gallery at first and second floors. Staircase and galleries are decorated with paintings. The square tower of the north façade is adjoined to the village church, former castle chapel. A gallery gave access to it from the interior courtyard. The whole is unified by the corbels of the machicolations which supported a wall-walk around the castle. Painted decoration of the 17th century.
