Historique
Petite chapelle composée d'une nef unique et d'un chevet à pans coupés. Ce qui pourrait correspondre à une première travée de nef est séparé de la chapelle, au rez-de-chaussée, par un mur et utilisé comme chambre. A l'étage, cette travée devient tribune, accessible depuis les chambres du premier étage. Cette disposition avait pour but de séparer hommes et femmes. La chapelle s'ouvre au nord par une porte dont l'arc plein cintre est surmonté d'une corniche. Le plafond qui couvre la chapelle est en lattes de chêne, disposées selon le tracé d'un cintre surbaissé. Les peintures qui l'ornent représentent, à l'est la Trinité, au centre l'Ascension d'Elie dans un char de feu, à l'ouest l'Assomption de la Vierge, sur les côtés les Evangélistes et ermites, au sud la présentation au Temple, et au nord la décollation de Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Ces peintures ont été exécutées par les Grandon, famille de peintres lyonnais des 17e et 18e siècles.

History
Small chapel composed of a single nave and a chevet with splayed sides. What could correspond to a first bay of the nave is separated from the chapel, on the ground floor, by a wall and used as a bedroom. On the first floor, this bay becomes a gallery, accessible from the rooms on the first floor. This arrangement was intended to separate men and women. The chapel opens to the north by a door whose round arch is surmounted by a cornice. The ceiling that covers the chapel is made of oak laths, arranged according to the outline of a depressed arch. The paintings that decorate it depict, to the east the Trinity, in the centre the Ascension of Elijah in a chariot of fire, to the west the Assumption of the Virgin, on the sides the Evangelists and hermits, to the south the presentation at the Temple, and to the north the beheading of Saint John the Baptist. These paintings were executed by the Grandons, a family of Lyon painters of the 17th and 18th centuries.
