Historique
La création de la place, autrefois place Royale, fut décidée en 1747, remplaçant une voie menant à la cathédrale. La porte est composée de deux pilastres latéraux sur piédestaux, avec chapiteaux. L'archivolte est ornée d'un décor floral courant tout le long du fronton. Les moulurations des piedroits de l'archivolte se retrouvent sur la porte en bois.

History
The creation of the square, formerly called the Royal Square, was decided in 1747, replacing a route leading to the cathedral. The door is composed of two lateral pilasters on pedestals, with capitals. The archivolt is ornamented with floral decoration running along the entire length of the pediment. The mouldings of the archivolt jambs are found again on the wooden door.
