Historique
Eglise de l'ancienne abbaye de Rieupeyroux. L'édifice ne possède plus qu'une entrée au nord, le portail occidental ayant été muré lors des guerres de Religion. Les chapiteaux près du choeur sont d'inspiration romane. Les deux doubleaux latéraux du choeur, établis de biais, servent à raccorder à la largeur de la nef une abside à trois pans sensiblement plus large. Lanterne octogonale dont les huit nervures rayonnantes se terminent par une lancette. Les quatre pans coupés sont fermés par des voutains triangulaires. A l'extérieur, l'église est fortifiée sur trois faces. Les grands arcs, bandés d'un contrefort à l'autre, sont percés chacun d'un mâchicoulis desservi par un chemin de ronde continu. Deux fenêtres ont été agrandies au 19e siècle.

History
Church of the former abbey of Rieupeyroux. The building now has only one entrance to the north, the western portal having been walled up during the Wars of Religion. The capitals near the choir are of Romanesque inspiration. The two lateral ribs of the choir, set at an angle, serve to connect the width of the nave to an apse with three bays significantly wider. Octagonal lantern whose eight radiating ribs terminate in a lancet. The four cut-off bays are closed by triangular vault pieces. Outside, the church is fortified on three sides. The large arches, sprung from one buttress to another, are each pierced with a machicolations served by a continuous wall-walk. Two windows were enlarged in the 19th century.
