History
The Romanesque chapel of the ruined castle was vaulted on ribs in the Gothic period. The quality of its 12th-century architecture is remarkable for its proportions, its masonry, its capitals, the modillions of the cornice and its openings. The building is of rectangular plan, the choir being in hemicycle. The whole is roofed in local slate cut in scales.
