Maison forte du Comté de Foix. Château du 17e siècle, sans doute construit sur des éléments plus anciens. Il se compose d'un quadrilatère massif cantonné de trois tourelles de dimensions différentes. Sur celles du nord-ouest et du nord-est, des vestiges de corbeaux donnent à penser qu'ils pouvaient soutenir antérieurement un chemin de ronde. La façade principale, au sud, comporte une tourelle d'angle en légère saillie, avec fenêtres à meneaux et une porte d'entrée à linteaux de pierre surmontée d'un arc de décharge. Certaines des fenêtres à meneaux d'origine ont été transformées. A l'intérieur, deux imposantes cheminées en stuc sculpté. Une troisième cheminée plus modeste, également à décor stuqué, comporte un panneau peint sur son manteau.

History
Stronghold of the County of Foix. Castle of the 17th century, probably built on earlier elements. It consists of a massive quadrilateral flanked by three towers of different sizes. On those of the north-west and north-east, remains of corbels suggest that they could previously have supported a wall-walk. The main façade, to the south, has a corner tower in slight projection, with mullioned windows and an entrance door with stone lintels surmounted by a relieving arch. Some of the original mullioned windows have been altered. Inside, two imposing fireplaces with sculpted stucco. A third, more modest fireplace, also with stucco decoration, has a painted panel on its mantelpiece.
