L'église possédait autrefois une enceinte fortifiée du 13e siècle dont il ne subsiste plus que deux tours sur les cinq qui la flanquaient. Une seule entrée existait à cette enceinte, s'ouvrant sur la tour nord. Le clocher représente tout ce qui reste des constructions du 12e siècle, auquel appartenait l'ancienne église. Les deux derniers étages de ce clocher sont du 18e siècle. La partie inférieure, carrée à la base, comprend deux étages carrés, puis passe à l'octogone et est couronnée d'un bandeau portant huit gargouilles semblant indiquer que là s'arrêtait la construction primitive. L'étage octogone date peut-être du 13e siècle. Les baies sont cantonnées de colonnettes.

History
The church once possessed a fortified enclosure from the 13th century of which only two towers remain of the five that flanked it. Only one entrance existed to this enclosure, opening onto the north tower. The bell tower represents all that remains of the buildings of the 12th century, to which belonged the former church. The two upper storeys of this bell tower date from the 18th century. The lower part, square at the base, comprises two square storeys, then becomes octagonal and is crowned with a band bearing eight gargoyles appearing to indicate that the primitive construction ended there. The octagonal storey may date to the 13th century. The openings are flanked by small columns.
