L'abbaye de Lézat a été fondée en 840 par Atton, vicomte de Béziers. A l'emplacement d'une des anciennes portes de l'abbaye, fut construit au 18e siècle un hôtel devenu mairie. A droite de l'entrée de la mairie se trouve la cage d'escalier. L'escalier est en pierre. Le limon supporte une rampe en fer forgé réalisée par Langevin. Départ arrondi, deux panneaux de fers horizontaux avec motif central ouvragé. Ces deux panneaux sont séparés dans l'axe de la volée par une série d'éléments verticaux avec portes ouvragées.

History
The abbey of Lézat was founded in 840 by Atton, viscount of Béziers. At the site of one of the former gates of the abbey, a hotel was built in the 18th century which became the town hall.
