Historique
Petit édifice de construction archaïque pouvant remonter au 11e siècle. Il fournit d'intéressants éléments sur les origines et le développement de l'art roman dans l'Ariège. La chapelle se compose d'une nef unique terminée par une abside rectangulaire plus étroite. Le chevet est voûté d'un berceau en tuf. Les arcades murales sont sans doute dues à un remaniement pour renforcer les murs lors de la construction des voûtes actuelles. Si les voûtes sont d'époque romane, le plan du chevet se veut plus ancien. Clocher à fenêtres géminées. Le mur pignon de la façade occidentale est souligné par une suite d'arcs. Au sud, la porte est ornée d'une triple archivolte dont le rouleau extérieur est décoré de dents de scie.

History
Small edifice of archaic construction which may date back to the 11th century. It provides interesting elements on the origins and development of Romanesque art in Ariège. The chapel is composed of a single nave terminated by a rectangular apse narrower than the nave. The chevet is vaulted with a barrel vault in tufa. The wall arcades are doubtless due to a reworking to reinforce the walls during the construction of the present vaults. If the vaults are of Romanesque period, the plan of the chevet is intended to be older. Bell tower with twin windows. The gable wall of the western façade is underlined by a succession of arches. On the south, the door is ornamented with a triple archivolt of which the outer roll is decorated with saw-tooth ornament.
